What are some of the possible interpretations of disjunct text, image & performance in the Age of the Hyperlink? Has experimental writing become tongue-tied or is the evolution of ur-language continuing to permute with the same force of innovation as during the early years of the futurist avant garde? In a perpetual play of fractured moments, 75 year old texts, & the historical character known as Tristan Tzara (aka Sammy Rosenstock) the performance animates assumptions about spontaneity, memory & the liberation of the text. By navigating filmic loops, Tzara's oblivion is documented as an arborescent stream of abstract variations and inescapable labyrinths of images from which the only escape is immersion in the impossible. Partly filmed in Moinesti, Romania, birthplace of Tristan Tzara.
